What is it?
This is a method of insulating parts of a central heating system with lagging and can be applied to water cylinders, pipework and behind radiators.
How does it work?
The insulation reduces the amount of heat that escapes from the hot water tank and exposed hot water pipes, so less energy is used heating water up, and hot water stays hotter for longer.
Makes a central heating system more efficient and reduces energy bills.
According to the Energy Saving Trust, the potential annual savings for a hot water cylinder insulation jacket could be up to £40 and primary pipe insulation could save £15.
